Design that Increases Usability
The feature of Toyo Koken balancers is their incredible usability, which includes simple handling and easy-to-use buttons amongst other things.
We use 3D CAD to create our designs going into minute detail of part layout and other considerations. We analyze elements from all angles, including usability in actual work, ease of maintenance, and strength, and reflect the results of our analysis in the design.
Customizability in Accordance with Application
The applications for our balancers are varied, and the materials and shapes of the heavy objects our customers handle are also endless.
As technicians, we work hard every time on the design of the attachments. As the usability of the balancers changes according to its design, we imagine various situations to design the best shape for the operator.
Toyo Koken balancers have an easily customizable configuration in order to meet the varied demands of our customers. We also have technology cultivated by our robot division to achieve optimal operations, such as one-button linked control, button-less control, and positioning control, in accordance with the work details.
These technologies are expected to be leveraged in new fields such as the caregiving industry.
Design is About Empathy
What gives us motivation day-to-day during continuous trial and error is feedback from operators who tell us that their job was made easier. Customer feedback through our products gives us encouragement as well as learnings.
I think the most important part of creating a design is the empathy to want to lessen the burden, even a little, on operators. I will continue to strive to consider the operator when designing products.
Furthermore, we will also pass down the experience we have accumulated over the years to younger technicians and work diligently to increase the technical capabilities of the entire company. We will continue to do our best to have all our customers say, "Toyo Koken has the best balancers."
